• How much does the XT9 cost?
• The XT9 is priced lower than most prosthetic knees. However, each patient can be different depending on customization. For more information please contact us directly.

• Will my Insurance cover the XT9?
• Most insurance companies do cover at least a portion of the XT9, but make sure to check with your Prosthetist for information on what is covered by your insurence.

• Is the XT9 waterproof?
• Yes! The XT9 knee is built using all water resistant, non-corrosive materials such as aircraft grade aluminum, hardened titanium, self lubricating 'Delron', stainless steel and is hard anodized to mil spec for ultimate water life.  Our warranty covers water use in fresh and salt water.

• Is the XT9 only for extreme sports?
• NO, while the XT9 is great for extreme sports such as wake boarding, snow boarding or rock climbing it is also great for lower impact sports such as cross-country skiing, rollerblading and surfing.  We even have users who like the XT9 for fly fishing because it is stable and waterproof.

• Is the XT9 good for everyday use?
• The XT9 Energy Storing Prosthetic Knee is different then any other knee on the market because it was designed specifically to fill the gap that great walking/running knees leave behind. Because of it's specialized functionality for sports use, it does not function well for everyday use.

• Will I need a special foot or socket to use the XT9?
• The XT9 is just the knee portion of a prosthetic limb. It is designed to work interchangeably with your current limb. Most users have the XT9 set up with its own ankle and foot components, and with whatever components are needed to work with their existing socket.

• Can I buy the XT9 from you directly or do I need to go through my Prosthetist?
• At SymbioTechs USA, the most important thing to us is that our clients can live their lives to the fullest. If you don't have insurance or a prosthetist who can assist you in obtaining your XT9, you can purchase directly from us.  Just click the link to go to the How to Buy page.

• Are their any health benefits to using the XT9?
• Yes, a recent study of Above Knee Amputees and activity states that of their subjects “one-third of those originally classified as MFCL-3 were subsequently able to participate in high impact activities and were correspondingly reclassified as MFCL-4” after the use of activity.

• Do you offer a payment plan?
• Not at this time.

• Do you offer any discounts?

• Can I return it?
• Yes, with 14 days of purchase, there is a restocking fee and shipping costs are not refunded. Please see our policies page for details.

• Is it FDA approved?
• The FDA does not evaluate prosthetic components which do not come in contact with the skin. Since the XT9 does not touch the skin it does not need FDA approval.

• Does it come with a warranty?
• Yes! The XT9 comes with our lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship and materials plus our30 month warranty against wear and tear. Applies even in water use applications.  Veiw our complete warranty information here.
